SOFIA CUTLER SURPRISES HOMETOWN FANS

PHEONIX, AZ (Oct. 20, 2020) – Sofia Cutler has spent her entire life loving music and dreaming of becoming a music artist. The Phoenix local’s dream finally came true and will start off her national tour at Trip Jam Music Festival.

Cutler fell in love with music at 9 years old when she learned to play the acoustic guitar. As she became a young adult she found her passion for electronic music productions. Cutler began to post covers and original songs to her SoundCloud.

“It feels unreal that a couple of years ago I was posting my music on SoundCloud for my friends and family to now being at a record label and going on my first national tour,” Said Sofia Cutler.

Cutler continued to post music on her SoundCloud account while attending the University of Southern California (USC) where she also played soccer. She made the decision to drop out of college to pursue her dream in music when she was offered a record deal from Renegade Records.

“Growing up my parents told me I needed to focus on my education and sports to become successful. After my sophomore year of college, I knew it was worth the risk to drop my scholarship at USC and try to pursue my dream in music. Making music is therapeutic to me and I knew many people could relate to my music that involved falling in love and dealing with heartbreak,” said Cutler.

Cutler's risk paid off in pursuing her music career and has become a rising star on the Billboard Top 100 from her new hit Summer Love. She felt like if she would’ve never followed her heart in 2018 then she would end up regretting it her entire lifetime.

“I would not change the way my journey has gone so far it has shaped me into the person I am today and I’m so thankful for the love and support from my friends and family,” said Cutler

Cutler's music is about falling in love, having fun with friends, and dealing with heartbreak.

“My goal in making music is to make songs people can relate and listen to when they’re having a good or bad day,” said Cutler

Cutler's most popular song is Don’t Replace. She shares her experience of seeing her ex replace her with someone new.

“Writing new songs that are emotional has helped me be able to feel my emotions on a new level. I hope the songs I make can help people who have gone through the same thing as me,” said Cutler.

By 20 Cutler dropped out of USC and started touring with Alison Wonderland and became her opening act for her show. At the time this was her first time going on tour and performing for big music events. Alison Wonderland trusted her gut and chose her because she knew how talented Cutler was.

While singing her first song Make Me at the bar Traditions in USC Alison Wonderland discovered her and knew she could help her make her a star in the EDM world.

“When I walked into the bar I knew Sofia Cutler had major talent and deserved to get attention in the music world. I remember being in her shoes and just wanting a chance to prove myself. So far, she has done an outstanding job in her music,” said Alison Wonderland.

Since the moment Alison Wonderland discovered Cutler and brought her on tour, she has gained fans and attention in the music world. Cutler is now getting ready to go on her own national tour.

“I can’t believe I’m leaving my hometown to start my own national tour. It still feels unreal that my dreams are all coming true,” said Cutler.

Cutler will be opening up on day 1 of Trip Jam Music Festival to kick off her national tour.

“From the experience, I’ve had from performing on tour and at music festivals, year around it’s hard to stop and smell the roses and appreciate the small things in life. The advice I’ve given to Cutler is take in this special moment of going on your first tour and never forget where you came from,” said Alison Wonderland
